SafeTorque is a mechanical "Ball-Detent" torque limiter, designed for
accurateand dependable overload protection. SafeTorque torque limiters
utilize the proven rolling ball design which provides:
- Instantaneous response time - minimizes damage from unwanted
overloads.
- Accuracy - correct torque settings provide protection without
unnecessary disengagements.
- Repeatability - continues to protect machinery at a constant level

SafeTorque vs. ALTERNATIVE DEVICES

The shortcomings of alternate protection devices can be overcome simply by using SafeTorque.
Shear pins -- are inaccurate; will fatigue, causing excessive parts wear and unnecessary disengagments.
Friction clutches -- Slip and wear, producing inaccurate and changeable torque settings.
Electric devices, motor controls -- Have too slow a response time and cannot relieve potentially damaging inertia.
